Sarah and Ellie
The folks at Positive Training for Canines are absolute life savers. We were desperate for help when we got our crazy whirlwind rescue puppy, Ellie. She bit us black and blue, ripped our clothes, stole our food, and bounced around on the end of the lead like the cartoon Tasmanian Devil. Leah and her colleagues at the puppy class were not remotely fazed. We started with teaching her to settle and be calm, and went from there. The classes are always fun, relaxed, inventive and effective. As well as covering standard behaviours, and dealing with dog socialisation, we learned some of the tools and techniques of training which gave us the confidence to train new behaviours at home. The more advanced classes cover concepts beyond the basics, and we had a go at agility, scent work and even some Treibball basics. We all loved it so much (including Ellie) that we stayed for 3 years, moving up the classes and learning new ways to communicate with and challenge our clever dog. It made the world of difference to all of us, and our home a much calmer place!
